ACBA'S BUSINESS BREAKFAST

On November 23, 2011, ACBA held the November Business Breakfast which took place in the Breadfast-Lounge of the Hotel Sofitel in Vienna.

Sharing important information and reporting about the recent visit of President S.E. Hu Jintao and the Chinese investor delegation was an interesting part of the meeting.

ACBA also had the opportunity to welome guests providing news and more which will be of benefit to the ACBA members. The meeting was a good chance to exchange China experiences and common business opportunities.


ACBA`s president, Dr. Georg Zanger and his board greeted new members who also shared the breakfast and ACBA is looking forward to see you at its next meeting!
AUSTRIAN-CHINESE ECONOMICAL FORUM
Due to the official visit of Mr. S.E. HU JINTAO, President of PR China, in Austria at the end of October 2011, the Austrian Chamber of Commerce WKO organized an Economical Forum in Vienna. The Forum was held on Monday, 31st of October 2011 at the headquarter of the Chamber of Commerce in Vienna.
Because of the importance of this visit and the deligation travelling the WKO had invited ACBA and its members to attend the Forum.
The purpose of the journey of Mr. S.E. Hu Jintao and the delegation of more than 50 entrepreneurs travelling Austria was to discuss the opportunities of investments in European and especially in Austrian companies.

ACBA'S 1st Business-Breakfast:

On September 27, 2011 ACBA organized its 1st Business-Breakfast 2011 which took place in Vienna, within a smaller circle of Members. The highlight was the highly appreciated interesting discussion with Mag. Herbert Kovar (at the right), Partner and Managing Director of Deloitte.

The board of directors, comprising the Dr. Georg Zanger (president, at the right), Dr. Wolfgang Reckendorfer (secretary general), MMag. Walther Schnopfhagen
(treasurer), and MMag. Norbert Haslhofer (secretary) organize
ACBA meetings quarterly where lectures concerning the topic of economic exchange
among Austria and the PR China will establish a platform
for interested Chinese and Austrian companies.

Moreover, ACBA is already organizing the meeting after the this upcoming one, where the embassador of the PR China has agreed on holding a speech about the topic „Opportunities of the economic cooperations between the PR China and Austria“.
The fundamental basis for economic relations is the knowledge of the jurisidction which shapes the economic life in the several states. Ms Zhang, who comes from China and is at present working in Austria in a legal function, will review the development of the economic legal framwork in China until today and provide us with a thourough report.
Time and location will be announced separately. ACBA members will receive an invitation in time.
ACBA'S first International Event:
On the occation of the 40-year anniversary of diplomatic relationship between Austria and China and in cooperation with WKO and ÖGCF ACBA had invited for today to the first economic forum 2011.
ACBA is greatful for the excellent organization at the Skylounge of the WKO headquarter.
It has been a superior event thanks to the speakers Dr. Helmut SOHMEN of BW Group, Minister Chen HAOSU, General Director Wu RITU, Dr. Georg ZANGER as the chairman of the Austrian-Chinese Business Association, Dr. CORDT as head of the supervisory board of RHI and further the representants of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKO), such as the Vicepresident KR. Sen. h.c. DI Dr. Richard Schenz and President Dr. Christoph LEITL.
